"We are born beautiful. We are born enough. We are born empowered. It is society that has convinced us otherwise." -Cam Kashani

How many times a day are you being told that your body isn’t enough?

Through ads. Through messaging. Through people around you.

From the moment we are born, we are bombarded with toxic messaging that something is wrong with us and our bodies. That they are a project to be fixed. That our bodies, these beautiful, powerful vessels filled with ancient wisdom, need to be “thinner, tighter, no cellulite, no fat, etc.”

It’s exhausting.

What many women are failing to realize is that we have all been programmed.

Programmed to believe one big fat LIE.

The lie that we are not enough just as we are and that we constantly have to fix ourselves, lose weight, get lean, avoid getting older, etc. What gets me the most is the whole “get your body back” after having a baby. Completely overriding birth as the miraculous thing that it is.

Society has programmed us to believe that we are the problem. That Mother Nature is the problem. That we are born flawed.

I believed these lies for most of my life. I was addicted to diet pills, treated my body like absolute garbage, judged her, denied her, and forced her every day. Woke up every morning looking at myself in the mirror and calling her fat and ugly.

What a waste.

Now that I have done the amount of work I have done to unlearn all this, I realized that my body is my oracle. She is here to guide me, to love me, to be my partner. And I speak to her with love and deep reverence every single day. To remind her that I am grateful for her and that she can communicate anything she needs to me.

What I learned was that coming from the consciousness of less than made me easy to control. I was not coming from the consciousness of sovereignty. I was coming from a lack and not enough.

The point being, women are being controlled by focusing on their “flaws” instead of focusing on their power.

Every time you look in the mirror and don't absolutely love yourself, you are letting them win. You are allowing their messaging to own you.

If all women truly remembered their power and their innate beauty, the world would transform overnight, and countless businesses would go bankrupt — we are allowing the world to profit off our disempowerment.

It’s time for a change. With everything else in the world changing, it’s also time for women to remember their true power before the lies and before the programming. To embody our highest frequency, our highest self-worth, and to love ourselves so deeply, I call it Self Worship.

Today, when you look in the mirror, gaze at your eyes and say "I love you" on repeat til you REALLY mean it. And maybe that'll take a while, but it's a beautiful practice to integrate into your morning routine.

May we all remember our power.
